Asaparagus... 2011 was our first year for this early vegetable. Coming freshly picked from the field it was very tender and tasty. Asaparagus lasted til the last of June.
Next came Strawberries...They came late this year but caught up fast with the warm weather.We had them til the 1st of July.Sorry you missed them. Too bad the season is so short, you can't beat Michigan strawberries.
Next up is Blueberries. I am told they are beginning to show color.Ahh yes,can't wait to make jam and have this on my ice cream.These too will be freshly picked and picked up the same day.
August will bring us Broccoli and Sweet Corn then on to the Tomato's...
